Tool rolls for cycling.
The design was born out of a personal need for an ultra small, rattle free, visually appealing emergency kit that could be colour cutomized and pockets adapted as needed. Now I custom craft and sell these on etsy .

Sold 119 products on Etsy and made a few for friends. I expanded my product offering into top tube protectors also, an area that benefits from high customization appeal. Every order I receive is unique and thats what makes my designs different, customization.
The design started off a lot different that what you see here. With over 9 revisions, I optimized the design for several factors
1) Ease of use
2) Security
3) Expanded color offerings
4) Material Durability
5) Production and sourcing availability
During the design and development I experimented with different materials and variations on design.
My current designs use Laminated xPac, Nylon Cordura 1000D, PU Coated ripstop nylon and both polyester and nylon trims.

Sustainable reuse

Sustainability: Above is a complementary product I started making using trash bound materials. While working at Nike Swim, there were many boxes of incorrectly printed nylon mesh swim bags. These were headed for the trash.
The mesh inspired me to repurpose and make a mesh bag for use on the bicycle trainer. The problem with riding a bike trainer indoors is holding stuff within reach. The bag holds items at the front of the bike, think remote control, snacks, headphones. Most if not all trainers are used with a fan to keep the rider cool during a. workout ,perfect! here the mesh allows air to flow through and around the bag, instead of impeding it. A small thing, but a cool design thing.
The design is simple. But simple takes time.
The fit over different handlebars and the ability to carry loads required design refinement of elastics adjustability and mesh spacer design. This is v5, optimized for material use, production and consumer setup.
